Details of Nancy's Disappearance

Find Nancy Johnson

Nancy Johnson, age 73, went missing from Tsada (near Paphos), Cyprus on Tuesday 19th June 2012. Nancy suffers from Alzheimer's. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Nancy had gone for a walk in the area close to her home, just east of the village of Tsada in Cypurs, at around 3pm on that day, but never returned home. Her husband reported her missing to local Police later that day.

Nancy was last seen at 4pm on Tuesday 19th June 2012 at the edge of Tsada village, where she approached a lady in her garden saying that she "was a bit confused" and "can't find my way home". The lady asked Nancy where she lived and gave her directions.

Since that final sighting of Nancy at 4pm on Tuesday 19th June 2012, there have been no further sightings, no new leads, information or evidence reported.

The Police have conducted searches of the Tsada area at ground level, with police search dogs, and by helicopter.

Nancy's husband, friends, neighbours, members of the expat community and local villagers are continuing to search and circulate Missing Person posters for Nancy in the surrounding areas of Tsada and Paphos. Nancy's son flew to Cyprus to assist with the search. Nancy's daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren live in Australia.

All are very worried and concerned for Nancy's wellbeing and hoping that she can be found and safely returned home to her family as soon as possible.

We believe that somebody has seen Nancy after 4pm on Tuesday 19th June, as sunset on that day was about 8pm, or that someone knows something about Nancy's disappearance. We strongly urge that person/people to come forward with any information.

Anyone with family, friends or contacts in Cyprus is asked to pass on the call for help in the search to 'Find Nancy Johnson'.

Those with any information (however small or trivial it may seem) about Nancy Johnson’s disappearance, sightings or knowledge of her current whereabouts should urgently contact Stroumbi Police, Cyprus on (+357) 2681 4060 or your local Police Station.

Alternatively, if you do not wish to speak to the police and/or wish to remain anonymous, please call the Citizens Line (24 hours) in Cyprus on 1460.

Thank you.
